United States to become Brazil's largest trading partner. But the
Chinese say Brazilian businessmen know very little about their
country.
Brazil is also Western, democratic and ethnically
diverse. But Brazil has what China needs: commodities and natural
resources, from soybeans to iron ore, oil to sugar cane.
Brazil, in other words, is a prime target for
Chinese soft power.

strategic necessity over copper in Africa that will leave the winner
walking away with the most expensive acquisition of a diversified
minerals company.
